I’m so glad to see a post on emotional abuse by a therapist. There are unfortunately many stories of physical abuse. PPl don’t come forward on
emotional abuse and it’s tough talking to ppl about it. I spoke to 2 female therapists about emotional abuse I endured by a male therapist. They tried but part of it they couldn’t get. It is very very personal and maybe almost no one can get it.
Anon,
Thank you so much for your message. I personally feel that the alienation that comes with being a survivor of Narcissistic abuse can be just as devastating as the abuse itself. I have never felt so alone as I did before I found others who had been through similar ordeals. Have you stumbled across TELL (TherapyAbuse.org)? It is a wonderful site created for those who have been harmed by mental health professionals. They have volunteer responders who are truly amazing people who really helped me realize that I was not alone in what I went through. If you haven’t yet been to that site, I would really encourage you to take a look. It made a tremendous difference for me in my journey to find healing. Perhaps it can be helpful to you as well…
Please know that you are not alone :o)
